Apostles Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)

Hail Holy Queen (Salve Regina)
Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our Life, our Sweetness, and our hope. To thee we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then most gracious advocate, Thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show unto us, the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. In religious artwork St Dominic is often accompanied by a dog carrying a torch. There are two possibilities for this. The first being a play on the word “Dominican” in Latin as “Domini canes” meaning the Dogs of the Lord. The other reason is that whilst pregnant with Dominic his mother had a vision of a dog bearing a torch, a torch of truth, of the light of God.
